Pre-Season Outlook
Moore finally broke out his first season in Chicago, finishing with career highs for catches (96), total yards (1,385), touchdowns (nine) and catch rate (70.6). His average of 8.0 targets per game was actually pretty similar to what he'd seen in Carolina, where he had five straight seasons with no fewer than 940 yards from scrimmage but no more than 1,215 (and only once scored more than four TDs). QB Justin Fields didn't do much for the other Chicago pass catchers, but he was an unexpected godsend for Moore's efficiency, highlighted by an 8-230-3 receiving line Week 5 and a 9-159-1 outing Week 16. Fields is gone now, and the Chargers have far tougher target competition after adding WRs Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze. Still, things could work out alright for Moore in the fantasy world, as the Bears may have far more overall pass attempts with No. 1 pick Caleb Williams replacing a QB who regularly ranked among the league leaders in sack and scramble rate. Williams may spread the ball around more, but he'll also do a better job of getting it out on time, and of the three big-name receivers only Moore is in his prime.
