    • Smith re-signed to a one-year deal...

Smith re-signed to a one-year deal with the Seahawks on Thursday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of reports.

Analysis: After spending his first three seasons in Philadelphia, Smith signed with the Seahawks last season and went on to record 15 tackles (nine solo), 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and a pass defensed in 14 games. Given the departure of Michael Bennett and the uncertainty surrounding Cliff Avril (neck), Smith could be in line for a major increase in reps next season.

    • McCullers re-signed to a one-year deal...

McCullers re-signed to a one-year deal with the Steelers on Thursday, Joe Rutter of reports.

Analysis: McCullers will remain in Pittsburgh, where he was drafted in the sixth-round of the 2014 draft. The nose tackle has been more of a depth lineman so far in his career, registering just one start in 42 career games. The Steelers now have all six defensive linemen who saw action last season under contract for the 2018 season as well.

In addition to tying a team-high 12 special teams tackle last season, he also blocked a field goal and recovered a fumble.

    • The Los Angeles County District Attorney...

The Los Angeles County District Attorney won't charge Jones for vandalism due to "insufficient evidence," Mike Rodak of reports.

Analysis: The incident in question involved a fight with his brother, Cayleb, at a Los Angeles apartment building and his subsequent arrest. A video obtained by TMZ reveals what appears to be a seriously-impaired Jones and broken glass doors and windows, among other disturbing images. It's unclear how the DA arrived at her decision, but the NFL likely will look into the matter to learn if Jones violated the personal conduct policy.

    • Matthews (knee) will visit the Packers...

Matthews (knee) will visit the Packers on Friday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Analysis: When healthy, Matthews was quite productive in three seasons with the Eagles, recording 225 catches for 2,673 yards (7.7 YPT) and 19 touchdowns in 46 games. Lingering injuries followed him to Buffalo last August, though, when he was traded for cornerback Ronald Darby. The result was 25 receptions for 282 yards (7.8 YPT) and one TD in 10 games prior to landing on IR after Week 13. Matthews subsequently underwent surgeries on his left knee and right ankle, which likely will be scrutinized by the Packers' medical staff during his stop in Green Bay.
